About Dawny.
Dawny Magic (Dawn Lysons) is a registered Primary School Teacher (JCU) with further qualifications in Music Making for Children (JCU) and Communication Design (Griffith University - Queensland College of Art). She is also an experienced performer, recording artist, classroom music teacher and youth choir conductor and has most recently worked as a Child Safety Education Officer, writing, creating and composing engaging educational resources for school aged children to help keep them safe.
Dawny's other musical projects include Úna Heera, Day of Embers and Dawn/Band of Dawn, all of which have performed at events and festivals around the world including:

Dawn and her husband Daryl James were nominated for the Queensland Music Awards in the World Music category for their duo 'Day of Embers'.

First Place & Scholarship Winner
Dawn won the agIdeas New Star Award for her creative interpretation of: 'Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower'. The prize included a scholarship and internship at United Visual Artists (UVA) studios in London.
